Convenient, laid back luxury

The husband and wife team of manager, Kent, and concierge, Estela were fantastic. I spent more time working with Kent prior to our arrival getting the lease and other details taken care of. Throughout the process he was great answering any questions/concerns I had promptly and thoroughly. He is very customer oriented. Estela, met us promptly at the Penthouse with the keys and showed us the "ins and outs" of the property. She then provided us with the lay of the land concerning places to eat, drink and swim; she knows it all and is a real professional. Check out was quick and easy. Everything about this couple shows the care and work they put into their properties. It was a joy working with them. The property itself is remarkable. The setting is laid back and peaceful yet within 15 minutes of everything. I’d recommend bringing walking shoes because the hills around can be daunting. The centerpiece of the property for us was the floor to ceiling windows/doors that really brought the outside in. With views of the Pacific and the surrounding rain forest from every room there was always something going on. If not the Capuchin monkeys playing curiously in the nearby trees (or on the balconies) then it’s the Howlers heard nearby yet, virtually unseen moving through the canopy like ghosts. The penthouse has nearly all the amenities one could hope for from stylish plates, soft linens and plenty of towels, even the all important corkscrew. Having a washer/dryer was really a nice feature too. The furniture is relaxed and comfortable. The beds are very sleepable with comfy linens and pillows. We were traveling with our 19 and 21 year old children and the 3 large bedrooms provided enough of an escape that everyone could get moments alone as needed. All in all, the penthouse was very relaxing and comfortable. Having access to the amenities at the Pacific Souss, was another real plus. Its pool area is very clean, relaxing and comfortable. Hard to find much to complain about.

Staying here in Casa de las Cascadas for one week was the best decision we made on this trip to Costa Rica. We enjoyed the privacy, the fantastic view, and magnificent architecture of the house. This house is like a hidden gem, perfectly situated in the beautiful landscape found in Costa Rica. Also we appreciated the professionalism and kindness of Estela & Kent, who made this stay so fantastic! Hope to be back one day!
